Hey Naturals, I temporarily paused my last post because I felt as though the timing was off and did not want to come off as insensitive. After speaking with my family and to the Lord, I was able to see that the recent chain of events has made the piece even more relevant to the body of Christ. I wanted to pen a letter in response to the chaos around us and why I have been silent. My reaction to it all--shocked myself.  After the footage of George Floyd's murder flooded social media, I felt like I did not have the mental, emotional, spiritual, nor psychological strength to deal with it. Not another hashtag. Not another life lost. Not another cry for justice and another confirmation that my life and the lives of those who look like me does not matter. I couldn't take another disappointment in fighting a system that either ignores us completely or presents reinventions of itself as change. So to maintain sanity, I unplugged. Hello Naturals, 2020 has been such a roller coaster. No one would have predicted that these turn of events would have occurred, between The Outbreak and spread of COVID-19, quarantine, curfews, illicit police brutality, and social unrest. I believe now is the time for me to share a word that God instructed me to preach at a local bible study. My prayers are with you all...now more than ever. I would like to start by asking a question, now this question is not attached nor entangled in any theology or doctrine...just a question and I ask that we dig deep and answer honestly. How have you been humbled during Quarantine? And I follow,  How have you been stretched?  In what areas? How have you been spending your time? Have you used it to draw near to the Lord? Good Morning and Happy New Year! I am happy to announce that I will be back as of January 2020! I thought it would only be right to kick this year off with a few great takeaways that I have learned this past year and end it with some motivation for 2020!  God is good and I am soooo excited for all of the many things that He will do to and through us this year. Good Morning Everyone! The first series in our Weightless campaign is about Mental Health. Mental Health is a topic that is not widely discussed nor properly acknowledged in today's society. I believe that God cares about our Mental Health just as much as he cares about our physical or even spiritual Health. While attending a workshop, I learned that it is impossible to be spiritually mature while remaining emotionally immature. It works Hand-in-Hand. John 4:24 states, "God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in Spirit and in Truth" (NKJV).  We can only do that if we are mentally healthy. God is ultimately the one who changes us from the inside out, but there are a few things we can do to assist and maintain that change.
