Remaining Hope-FULL: Lessons in Luke 1:45
Good Evening Naturals,
This morning God gave me a powerful word and M&M for today. I shared the M&M, on Instagram @thenaturalmindedsoul for those who do not follow me, and decided to turn the rest into a post. I pray that this post blesses you as much as it has blessed me!
Here's the M&M!
I felt a few of those words hit me like "Believe." The Lord asked me do I believe Him. An honest answer at the moment was "kinda." I say, "kinda" because I know God is capable of doing above all I can ask or think and I often obey His leading, but sometimes I get a little discouraged. In all honesty, while discouraged my feet don't follow as quickly as my mouth. So when God dropped that word in my spirit, I felt a sense of relief. I was happy, but happy because God confirmed that His promise is actually going to happen. Although my external reaction would fool anyone, including myself, into thinking "She's overjoyed" "She's full of faith," but God looked at the internal root and said you're reacting that way because you're relieved. He saw that my hope had waned and I needed a little refreshing.
He gently reminded me of Luke 1:45.
"Blessed is she who has believed that the Lord would fulfill His promises to her" (NIV)
Let's look at the scripture again.
After looking at it again, a few words/phrases illuminated in my spirit and the Lord provided an explanation for them all.
"Blessed is she who has believed that the Lord would fulfill His promises to her."
Here's the scriptural breakdown that God gave me on how to remain Hope-Full from Luke 1:45.
has believed- "has" is present tense."believed" is past tense. Combining them together would deem consistency, which speaks of hopeful faithfulness. The Lord wants us to keep the Faith and believe consistently & fervently. James 5:16 states, "...the effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much." Believe means "to obey." The Lord wants us to follow through. He wants us to obey His word and leading consistently.
His promises- The Lord wanted to remind us that our promises are His. It is not your responsibility to make sure they come to pass, but the Lord's. He has an expected end for you and it is His job to see it through.
Her- i.e you! This scripture is stating because she has remained true to God, by consistently believing and obeying, He will bless her and fulfill the promises that He made you.
Let's replace "her" with you.
...because I have remained true to God, by consistently believing and obeying, He will bless me and fulfill the promises that He made me.
That glimmer in your chest is called, "Hope."
That Hopeful desire and expectation is what fuels your Faith and Faithfulness. It is a feeling of trust. The Lord wants us to trust Him. Sometimes when life throws curve balls or when you don't see physical fruit of God's promises we can lose a little hope. But God said He doesn't want us to operate that way. He wants us to remain in a state of Hope and fervency, Hence Hope-FULL. FULL of Hope. FULL of Joy. FULL of Expectation. FULL of Trust. & FULL OF HIM.
How?
By reminding ourselves of Who our God is. Reminding ourselves of His promises. Reminding ourselves of His Word. Reminding our problems of how BIG our God is, instead of reminding our God of how big our problems are. I encourage you all to remain Hope-FULL in your pursuit of God.
~
God wants us to know that He has not forgotten about us. His word does not change. His promises will not change, so just because it doesn't feel like they are coming to pass or you don't see physical evidence does not give us a reason to doubt. Nope, Not for a moment.
God wants us to live in consistent state of prayer, of fervency, of faith, & of hope.
As you can see in the definition of blessed above, God wants us to be in a place where we are unmoved by outward conditions. A place of "I am aware of what is going on, BUT this is what My God said..." Remain Faith-FULL. Remain Hope-FULL. God is Faithful to us and being faithful to Him is a choice. I hope you choose wisely.
