Organic: The Benefits of Eucalyptus Oil

Hello, Naturals!

This post is for my Naturalistas! My post today was inspired by a hand soap. Yes, hand soap. Upon washing my hands at my Aunt’s house, I noticed that she had purchased a new hand soap and what I thought would be a normal mundane experience turned into a jaw-dropping experience that I must tell the world. I soon came to understand why this hand soap was coined “SHELL YEAH.” The aroma of the soap woke me up, revitalized me, invigorated my senses, and left my hands feeling super soft. What it this?? Eucalyptus Mint. At this point, I had only heard of Eucalyptus from a mention of it in Propaganda’s Bear with Me. I had to look this up. There was something special about this stuff and I wanted to know what it was. Most of my DIY and Home remedies are about things that you can find around your home to improve the overall health of your body, hair, skin, and nails. Eucalyptus oil may not be something that you might find lying around your house, however, my research has shown that it might be something worth looking into. Like always, I’ve tested it on myself before introducing it to you! I give this oil my Natural-Minded Stamp of Approval.

Word of Caution:

Eucalyptus oil is a great alternative to common medicinal treatments; however, consult with your doctor about what treatments will work best for you. When using Essential oils you must make sure that it is of “Therapeutic Grade,” meaning they are free of toxins, chemicals, and are unfiltered and undiluted. Eucalyptus oil is highly allergenic and must be diluted properly when used. It is not safe to ingest Eucalyptus oil as it can be poisonous. It is important to do an allergy test before using eucalyptus because it is highly allergenic. An allergy test can be done by adding the eucalyptus oil in the carrier oil, usually olive or coconut oil, and putting a drop on the arm. If there is no reaction in 24 hours, it is safe to use. Negative side effects may include Diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, stomach trouble, air contact dermatitis, etc. If symptoms persist, See a doctor. Also, beware of genetically modified ingredients and choose Non-GMO essential oils.
